Entre los nuevos invitados figuran varios argentinos: los intérpretes Ricardo Darín y Mia Maestro, los directores Pino Solanas y Andy Muschietti, las productoras Gema Juárez Allen y Bárbara Muschietti y los músicos Emilio Kauderer y Osvaldo Golijov.

La Academia dio a conocer la lista de nuevos integrantes (un récord de 928 personas contra 774 de 2017, 683 de 2016 y 322 de 2015), de los cuales el 49% son mujeres en un nuevo intento por ir mejorando la proporción actual.
