Premios Oscar 2026: "Pecadores" y "Una batalla tras otra" encabezan las nominaciones

-Pecadores, de Ryan Coogler, consiguió 16 candidaturas y superó el récord de 14 que tenían La malvada, Titanic y La La Land.
-Luego se ubicaron Una batalla tras otra (13), Frankenstein (9), Marty Supremo (9), Valor sentimental (9) y Hamnet (8).
-Entre los estudios lidera Warner con 30.

Danielle Brooks y Lewis Pullman anunciaron este jueves 22 las candidaturas a los Oscar. La ceremonia de la 98ª edición de los premios de la Academia de Hollywood será el 15 de marzo en el Dolby Theatre de Los Ángeles con Conan O'Brien como anfitrión por segundo año consecutivo.

ANÁLISIS: GANADORES, PERDEDORES, SORPRESAS Y CURIOSIDADES

-En medio de su posible venta a Netflix, Warner Bros. tuvo una excelente perfomance con 30 nominaciones, seguida por la distribuidora Neon con 18 (en América Latina la mayoría de esas películas son de MUBI), Netflix con 16, Focus Features con 13, A24 con 11, Apple con 6 y Disney con 4.

-Belén no quedó nominada como Mejor Película Internacional, rubro casi monopolizado por Neon con cuatro de sus películas (Valor sentimental, El agente secreto, Sirât y Fue solo un accidente, todas estrenadas en el Festival de Cannes), mientras que el quinto lugar fue para la tunecina The Voice of Hind Rajab, ganadora del Gran Premio del Jurado en Venecia.

-Más allá del récord histórico de Pecadores, también hubo grandes derrotados como, por ejemplo, Wicked: Por siempre, que se quedó con las manos vacías. Otros films que no fueron nominados: La única opción,de Park Chan-wook; Sorry Baby, de Eva Victor; y Jay Kelly, de Noah Baumbach. Sorpendió, en cambio, la nominación a Mejor Película para F1.

-Otros perdedores: Guillermo del Toro no quedó entre los directores y Dwayne Johnson, Chase Infiniti, Paul Mescal, Jennifer Lawrence y Joel Edgerton no figuraron en los rubros actorales.

-Las 4 nominaciones para El agente secreto (Película, Película Internacional, Actor Protagónico para Wagner Moura y Casting) marca el excelente momento del cine brasileño, que viene de ganar el Oscar por Aún estoy aquí, de Walter Salles.

-Timothée Chalamet fue nominado por segundo año consecutivo (Un completo desconocido en 2025 y Marty Supremo en este).

-Amy Madigan fue nominada por La hora de la desaparición / Weapons 40 años después de su primera candidatura por el papel secundario en Twice in a Lifetime (1985).

-Este año se produjo un récord de cuatro nominaciones a intérpretes en películas no habladas en inglés: Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, Wagner Moura, Renate Reinsve y Stellan Skarsgård. El récord anterior databa de 1976 con Marie-Christine Barrault, Giancarlo Giannini y Liv Ullmann.

-Con El agente secreto y Valor sentimental ya son 13 las producciones nominadas tanto a Mejor Película como a Mejor Película Internacional. La coreana Parasite es la única película que ganó ambos premios.

-Por octavo año consecutivo, al menos una película en lengua no inglesa ha sido nominada en la categoría principal, ratificando la tendencia a la intenacionalización de los Oscar.

-Francia consiguió con Fue solo un accidente su 40ª candidatura a Mejor Película Internacional, seguida por Italia con 30 nominaciones.

-Diane Warren es candidata a Mejor Canción por noveno año consecutivo y suma ya 17 nominaciones (tercera en esta categoría detrás de Johnny Mercer con 18 y Sammy Cahn con 26).

-Por séptimo año consecutivo, al menos una película nominada en la categoría principal ha sido dirigida por una mujer. Chloé Zhao por Hamnet es la undécima mujer en ser candidata y apenas la segunda en serlo dos veces (la anterio fue con Nomadland) junto a Jane Campion.

-Steven Spielberg recibió su 14ª nominación como productor (récord).

-Autumn Durald Arkapaw (Pecadores) es la cuarta mujer nominada en Fotografía luego de Rachel Morrison por Mudbound (2017), Ari Wegner por The Power of the Dog (2021) y Mandy Walker por Elvis (2022).

-Con algunos nombres aún por definirse, ya hay 74 mujeres nominadas, superando el récord de 71 en 2023.

-Este año se sumó el premio a Mejor Casting. Por primera vez en 25 años se agrega una categoría (en 2001 se incorporó la de Largometraje Animado).
